Philippine Election 2022
Stay up to date on the Philippine election of 2022 with live updates from the New York Times.
The presidential election puts the son of Ferdinand Marcos (Bongbong Marcos) up against Leni Robredo - the two main candidates.
UPDATE: on May 13th, 2022 Leni Robredo admitted to defeat in the 2022 Philippine presidential election. In her speech, given at Ateneo de Manila University, she did not mention her opponent by name.
The election results were called into question after allegations of buying votes and ballot machine malfunctions. Disinformation and corruption have long been a part of the Philippine political landscape & Robredo mentioned the “massive machinery to spread hate and lies,” in her speech.

The Top 3 Steps You Need To Know To Improve Your Chess Game Right Now
I have been teaching chess classes for several years now.
The top 3 steps you need to know to improve your chess game right now are:
1. Play more games.
In general, the more you do something, the easier it becomes. Playing chess online is a simple way to take advantage of today's technology.
2. Review your games after playing them.
What could you have done better? What mistakes did you make? Why did you make them?
3. Practice solving chess puzzles on a daily basis.
Puzzles will help you see the board better, recognize patterns, and think tactically.

1922 Silver Dollar - 100 Years Later
The 1922 Peace Dollar was designed by Anthony de Francisci, an Italian-American sculptor. It has the highest mintage amounts out of any Silver Dollar to date.
When were the Peace Dollars circulated?
The Peace Dollar coins were circulated from 1921 to 1928, 1934 to 1935, and once again in 2021.

It depends on a number of different factors including: the current price of silver, market supply and demand, its grade/condition, where it was minted, and the relief.
On average, a typical circulated 1922 Peace Dollar will net you around $25-30 dollars today. I sold the one pictured above recently on eBay.

Winter & Spring Hummingbird Migration
Many hummingbird species spend their winters in Mexico and Central
America. In the Spring, when the temperatures begin to rise, they
migrate North. Around this time of the year, a lot of the United States
will notice an increase in the prevalence of hummingbirds. You may notice more hummingbirds as early as February. According to the U.S. National Park Service, the Spring Hummingbird migration is closely related to when native plants begin to flower.
More Spring Hummingbird Migration Information
Hummingbird wings can flap their wings up to 80 times per second and fly up to 23 miles in a single day! They travel during the day when it is easy to spot flowers and other food sources like insects. According to the U.S. National Park Service a hummingbird's heart can beat up to 1,260 times per minute. It is not uncommon for a hummingbird to double its weight before migration.
Summer & Fall Hummingbird Migration
As the temperatures begin to fall, many hummingbirds migrate to areas of warmer temperatures. The Rufous Hummingbird travels up to 3,000 miles from Alaska to Mexico in the summertime, which is the longest known migration route. Unfortunately, the Rufous Hummingbird is listed as 'Near Threatened' due to habitat loss.
