The Future of Photography

How Do You Think Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Will Affect The Future Of Photography?

Recently, I have been experimenting with the openai DALL·E 2 text to image technology. It is very impressive, but at the same time, raises important ethical questions.

Take a look at some of my experiments below. I have included the prompts that I used, which can be found in quotations.

A Snowy Egret is much smaller than a Great Egret. Also, Snowy Egrets have black bills while Great Egrets have yellow-orange ones. Another notable difference is that Great Egrets have black colored feet but Snowy Egrets have yellow colored feet.

When Is Father's Day Weekend 2023?

My dad - Paul Z. Kissner - describes how he spent his summers growing up in NYC.
RIP 1940-2019.

When Is Father's Day Weekend 2023?

Father's Day weekend is on Sunday, June 18th, 2023. Father's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June in the United States.

How Did Father's Day Start?

History.com says that Father's Day started after a West Virginia church sponsored a Sunday sermon - the first national event "explicitly in honor of fathers..." The one time event honored the men lost in the 1907 Monongah mining disaster.

The year after, Sonora Smart Dodd successfully campaigned to make Father's Day a statewide holiday in Washington on June 19, 1910.

When Did Father's Day Become A National Holiday?

Father's Day became a national holiday in the United States in 1972.

Stay up to date on the Philippine election of 2022 with live updates from the New York Times

The presidential election puts the son of Ferdinand Marcos (Bongbong Marcos) up against Leni Robredo - the two main candidates.

UPDATE: on May 13th, 2022 Leni Robredo admitted to defeat in the 2022 Philippine presidential election. In her speech, given at Ateneo de Manila University, she did not mention her opponent by name.

The election results were called into question after allegations of buying votes and ballot machine malfunctions. Disinformation and corruption have long been a part of the Philippine political landscape & Robredo mentioned the “massive machinery to spread hate and lies,” in her speech.

I have been teaching chess classes for several years now.

The top 3 steps you need to know to improve your chess game right now are:

1. Play more games.

In general, the more you do something, the easier it becomes. Playing chess online is a simple way to take advantage of today's technology.

2. Review your games after playing them.

What could you have done better? What mistakes did you make? Why did you make them?

3. Practice solving chess puzzles on a daily basis.

Puzzles will help you see the board better, recognize patterns, and think tactically.

If you need any chess supplies, Amazon has a large selection of merchandise. (*Amazon Affiliate program link. Evan's Studio earns a small commission if the user clicks on the link and makes a purchase. This doesn't affect the price you pay for the product & helps support Evan's Studio.)

Who designed the 1922 Peace Dollar?

The 1922 Peace Dollar was designed by Anthony de Francisci, an Italian-American sculptor. It has the highest mintage amounts out of any Silver Dollar to date.

When were the Peace Dollars circulated?

The Peace Dollar coins were circulated from 1921 to 1928, 1934 to 1935, and once again in 2021.

How much is the 1922 Peace Dollar worth?

It depends on a number of different factors including: the current price of silver, market supply and demand, its grade/condition, where it was minted, and the relief.

On average, a typical circulated 1922 Peace Dollar will net you around $25-30 dollars today. I sold the one pictured above recently on eBay.

Winter & Spring Hummingbird Migration

Many hummingbird species spend their winters in Mexico and Central America. In the Spring, when the temperatures begin to rise, they migrate North. Around this time of the year, a lot of the United States will notice an increase in the prevalence of hummingbirds. You may notice more hummingbirds as early as February. According to the U.S. National Park Service, the Spring Hummingbird migration is closely related to when native plants begin to flower.

More Spring Hummingbird Migration Information

Hummingbird wings can flap their wings up to 80 times per second and fly up to 23 miles in a single day! They travel during the day when it is easy to spot flowers and other food sources like insects. According to the U.S. National Park Service a hummingbird's heart can beat up to 1,260 times per minute. It is not uncommon for a hummingbird to double its weight before migration.

Summer & Fall Hummingbird Migration

As the temperatures begin to fall, many hummingbirds migrate to areas of warmer temperatures. The Rufous Hummingbird travels up to 3,000 miles from Alaska to Mexico in the summertime, which is the longest known migration route. Unfortunately, the Rufous Hummingbird is listed as 'Near Threatened' due to habitat loss.

Keep Going

Keep Going is an abstract photo showing blue and purple zigzag or chevron patterns. Taken in 2022. © Evan's Studio My dad didn’t waste a minute because he, more than most people, knew that any minute could be his last. He told me when he was diagnosed with B Cell Lymphoma that I have to keep going. That’s what he did. He could have called it quits many times, and nobody would have blamed him, but he kept on swinging. To the best role model anyone could ever have, I love you and miss you.
