Sad To See Jimbo's Place Closing

Jimbo's in Key Biscayne was a seafood restaurant for over 55 years that served the Miami-Dade area community with fresh food and a laid-back local atmosphere.
Although Jimbo's Place has closed, its legacy is still alive in the memories of those who enjoyed its food, ambiance, and relaxing vibes. It was a sad day when the word got out that Jimbo's was closing down. I used to go on dates with my girlfriend to Jimbo's and we always had a great time there.
In this blog post, we'll take a walk down memory lane and explore the history of Jimbo's.
Jimbo's was founded in the 1960s by James "Jimbo" Luznar, a local fisherman (a sticker of Jimbo can be seen the mailbox carrier signal flag next to the cat) who decided to turn his love of seafood into a full-time business.
Jimbo's started as a small, hole-in-the-wall seafood shack, but it quickly gained a reputation for serving some of the freshest and most flavorful seafood in the area. As the restaurant's popularity grew, Jimbo started to expand the menu offerings adding sandwiches, burgers, salads, and other classic American food.
In the 1980s, Jimbo's underwent a major expansion, adding a full-service bar and an outdoor patio that offered scenic views of the water. The expanded restaurant became a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, and it remained a staple of the Miami-Dade community for decades.
