When were lava lamps invented?
1) Lava lamps were invented in 1963.

Who invented lava lamps?
2) Edward Craven Walker invented lava lamps. The first lava lamp he launched was the Astro. He also founded Mathmos - where you can buy lava lamps in a variety of different designs and colors.

How long can you keep a lava lamp on?
3) The concensus seems to be 8 to 10 hours but make sure you check the instruction manual for your specific lava lamp.
